Surrealistic Pillow is the second album by American psychedelic rock band Jefferson Airplane, released in April 1967. In the late 60's was a great success: Somebody to Love peaked at No. 5 singles charts, followed shortly after by White Rabbit who came up to position 8. The album, dragged by two hit, in August won third place in the ranking of best-selling LP according to Billboard, winning the gold disc and remaining on the charts for more than a year by selling a million and a half copies, first big success a band of the emerging music scene in San Francisco. Alla fine degli anni 60' fu un grandissimo successo: Somebody to Love raggiunse la posizione n°5 della classifica dei singoli, seguito poco dopo da White Rabbit che arrivò fino alla posizione n°8.L'album, trascinato dalle due hit, conquistò in agosto il terzo posto della classifica degli LP più venduti secondo Billboard, aggiudicandosi il disco d'oro e rimanendo in classifica per più di un anno vendendo un milione e mezzo di copie, primo grande successo di una band della nascente scena musicale di San Francisco.
