We should also mention that Billy Cobham is one of the best drummers of all time and has revolutionized the fusion in all its aspects, which only contained in "One Word" is still the standard by which all the drummer on the planet are called to confront and certainly a point of reference for any fan of progressive rock, fusion and jazz that if he don't know this album, he can not be considered a great connoisseur. Excellent!

Birds of Fire è il secondo album dei Mahavishnu Orchestra. La tecnica virtuosa, utile, fresca e mai scontata unita a un feeling ed a un approccio rivoluzionario, rendono l'atmosfera quasi esplosiva in questo disco il cui sound dalla produzione eccellente, sembra non invecchiare mai. Birds Of Fire testimonia nuovamente l'inestimabile grandezza della Mahavishnu Orchestra, dando anche un interessante affresco dei cambiamenti e delle evoluzioni del jazz-rock. Da ricordare anche che Billy Cobham, è uno dei batteristi migliori di tutti i tempi e che ha rivoluzionato la fusion in tutti i suoi aspetti il cui solo contenuto in “One Word” è a tutt’oggi uno standard con cui tutti i drummer del pianeta sono, chiamati a confrontarsi e sicuramente un punto di riferimento per ogni appassionato di progressive rock, fusion e jazz che se non ha ancora ascoltato questo questo album non si può considerare un ottimo intenditore.Ottimo!
